Way back in 1997 I saw an opportunity to invest in some Real Estate online. The internet was very young back then and I fiquired I would invest in registering some unique generic domain names that would describe the business they would represent.
I new that the easier they would be to remember the more valuable they would be. Generic names was my choice as they would not infringe on other peoples copywrites and trademarks etc.
Easy to remember generic domain names would be great for creating directories or selling products from as you could simple try typing the address in the address line of any browser world wide and land exactly on the page you were looking for without having to go into a large search engines and begin to comb through thousands of pages looking for such a page.
I also decided to register key-word-rich domain names specially so that when people were searching the large search engines using relative key words to the business that my domain names would contain these key words and would ultimately rank higher than other domain names without these qualities.
